About Kelly Jo Chartier

Kelly Jo (Stull) Chartier is founder of the circus school, In the Dark Circus Arts. Here, she runs her school while coaching circus wheels, aerial arts and producing shows. Kelly Jo began her journey with the study of classical ballet starting at age 5. Though she excelled as a dancer, she knew the life of a ballerina was not for her. As life took her across the globe, she became a professional scuba diver and obtained her masters degree in Marine Science. Finally, the circus found her and she became a graduate of the New England Center for Circus Arts professional program. The rest is history. She lives happily in Maryland with her husband, 2 adorable children, her english rose garden, extensive tea cup collection and loves all things french. Joie de vivre!
